Do I Need To Be Present At The Check-In Or Check-Out?
You are required to be present at the check-in, as these processes are managed by the management company or the landlord, depending on the accommodation you are leasing. Your presence ensures that all necessary documentation is completed, and the property is inspected for any damages or issues.
Please note: only the tenant is allowed to be present during the check. Any friends, family members, or other persons are kindly requested to wait outside. This policy ensures that the agent can carry out the inspection without interruption.
During the check, the current state of the accommodation will be objectively recorded. At the end of the process, the tenant signs to acknowledge receipt of the report and you will receive it by e-mail immediately. If you would like to add comments or observations, these must be submitted within 48 hours after the check, directly to the landlord and/or property manager. It is not permitted to discuss or dispute the findings during the appointment itself due to the agent’s schedule and the objectivity of the process.
If you do not agree with parts of the report, you may provide your remarks in writing and, if desired, support them with your own photos. These can be sent by e-mail or via the tenant portal, if available for your specific landlord or property manager (please note that not all landlords or managers use a portal).
If you are unable to attend the appointment, please inform the responsible party in advance so they can provide further instructions.
For any specific questions or concerns regarding your check-in, please reach out to the responsible party.
