How Can I Secure My Booking? / What is Booking Assistance?

Booking Assistance is an optional, paid support service for international students who want additional guidance and certainty during the booking process. This service is offered on request and exclusively on behalf of the tenant.

By default, all listings can be booked free of charge through our regular system, which operates on a first come, first served basis or through a lottery (as required under the housing legislation regarding allocating housing to applicants). All applicants are treated equally during this process.

However, if you are short on time, have specific requirements, or urgently need to secure a specific listing (for example, to live together with a friend), Booking Assistance may offer additional peace of mind. This means we normally cannot reserve a listing unless you request this additional service. Without it, we must give every applicant an equal chance and we are not allowed to prioritise applicants.

What Does Booking Assistance Include?

  • Cost: €650,00 (non-refundable)
  • Personal Guidance: A dedicated booking assistant to help you throughout the process
  • Temporary Reservation: Your accommodation is hidden from other applicants during booking
  • Guaranteed Booking: Once all conditions are met, your booking is confirmed
  • Extended Deadline: Extra time to complete the booking if needed
  • Priority Processing: Faster handling of your documents and requests

Important Notes:

  • The service is entirely optional and not required to book any listing.
  • Booking Assistance does not influence the rent or terms of your tenancy agreement.
  • The accommodation is only guaranteed under this service once all required steps are completed in time (e.g., document submission, deposit payment, contract signing).
  • If you have time to explore other listings and do not feel the need for priority handling, you can safely use the regular (free) booking route.

This service is especially useful for tenants who:

  • Are under time pressure
  • Want to secure a specific room
  • Need help navigating the rental process quickly
