Can I Sign The Tenancy Agreement For A SHH Partner Accommodation Without A Student Housing Hunter Service Agreement?
We collaborate with Student Housing Hunter (SHH) to facilitate access to certain accommodations specifically for international students and expats. These listings could include a monthly service fee, already incorporated into the advertised monthly price, which covers services provided by SHH — such as administrative assistance and support in securing the accommodation.
SHH operates independently and uses its own network of real estate agencies and landlords to source suitable housing. As Internationals In The Netherlands (IITN), we only present these options under SHH’s terms. It is not possible to rent these accommodations without their involvement, as SHH is the party responsible for sourcing the accommodation on behalf of the tenant. Therefore, the total monthly cost shown includes both the rent and SHH’s service provision.
If you prefer not to make use of SHH’s service, you may opt for accommodations that do not carry the orange ‘Welcome to NL Offer’ banner.
Please note: Accommodations marked with the ‘Welcome to NL’ tag are exclusively available to international students who are moving to the Netherlands for the first time. We verify this by checking the address provided in the application form. If you are unable to provide an address from abroad — for example, if you are a Dutch citizen — these accommodations are unfortunately not available to you. In such cases, we advise exploring our other listings instead.
