Laundry Service – Frequently Asked Questions

What does the laundry service include?

Our laundry service provides each student with a weekly collection and return of: • One set of bed linen (fitted sheet, duvet cover, pillowcase) • Two bath towels • Bed-making service with fresh bed linen upon delivery

Your bed will be freshly made when you arrive, so you can settle in comfortably.

All items are professionally washed, dried, and delivered directly to your accommodation. In addition, duvet and pillow are thoroughly cleaned after every check-out, so each new resident starts with freshly laundered essentials.

Can I receive more towels or request additional washes?

No, our service is fully standardised. To ensure efficient operations and keep the service accessible and cost-effective for all students, no customisations or upgrades are possible. Every student receives the same weekly package.

Can I opt out of this service?

No, opting out is not possible. This service is mandatory for all residents. We have fixed logistical and operational costs regardless of individual use. Even if you are not present or choose not to use the service in a given week, the costs still apply.

Why is the service mandatory?

This service is a standard part of our full-serviced accommodation model, which is explicitly designed for short-term stays. As such, tenants are not expected to bring their own bedding or towels. The laundry service ensures that every resident has immediate access to a clean and fully prepared sleeping arrangement upon arrival, without the burden of organising or washing bedding themselves.

By standardising this service, we can guarantee a consistent level of hygiene, comfort, and convenience for all residents. It also allows us to manage logistical processes efficiently, avoid unnecessary delays at check-in and check-out, and maintain the overall quality and reliability of the accommodation.

This structure is essential for our operating model and supports the temporary nature of the rental. For this reason, the service is mandatory and non-optional.

Are the costs included in my rent?

No, this is a separate service. Please refer to your contract for the exact pricing. All fees are market-compliant and reflect the real cost of laundry, logistics, and materials.

What if I bring my own bedding or towels?

You are welcome to bring your own items, but it does not exempt you from participation in the laundry service. The package is mandatory for operational reasons, and opting out is not an option.

Please note that only items provided by us as part of the service will be collected and washed. We do not handle personal or self-brought laundry.

What happens if I’m not home during pick-up or delivery?

We will make the delivery and pick-up according to the agreed schedule. If you’re not home, you can hang the used laundry on your door in the designated laundry bag.

If the room is accessible, we will make up your bed with fresh bed linen. If the room is not accessible, we will hang the clean, fresh laundry on your door. In that case, you will need to make up your bed yourself.

If no used laundry is available for collection, the charge still applies and no fresh bed linen will be provided.

What if my bedding is damaged or goes missing?

In case of loss or damage, replacement policies apply. These are outlined in your contract. In general, fair wear and tear is expected and covered, but deliberate damage or loss may be charged separately.

Do I need to return the items at the end of the rental period?

Yes. At check-out, all items provided under the service (such as the duvet, pillow, and mattress protector) must be returned in good condition. The weekly laundry (such as sheets and towels) is collected throughout your stay. Unreturned or damaged items may be charged separately.
